Via Lucianne we find this from New York local CBS news with word that Gov. Spitzer will resign Wednesday. Negotiations between the US attorney and Spitzer's legal defense team regarding possible charges against the governor are said to be involved in the timing of Spitzer's resignation.

In related news via ABC Radio, Wall Street, Governor Spitzer's old nemesis, had it's best day in 5 years today. The Governor also received a character reference from one of the prostitutes he patronized at the Emperor's Club. She said she couldn't see a reason for his predicament and described Gov. Spitzer as "clean" and "a good tipper".
