Hillary Video Leaves Us With a Question @ 02:25 pm

Shut the Freud Up YouTube video (which we watched all the way to the end and Maya Angelou's admonition to "Rise up Hillary, Rise up"!) leaves us asking "What the Freud was that"?:

Clinton's Guy: Damned if You Do, Damned if You Don't @ 03:10 pm

Tags: , , , , ,

"Is he is or is he ain't"? Mark Penn, that is, who is rumored to still be connected to the Clinton campaign, not "already gone". Wrap your head around this from Marc Ambinder. Tells you more about the world view of the author than about Mark Penn's guidance of the Clinton campaign. (But our opinion is written from somewhere deep in the "beer track"). Folks, they think we don't read, and if we do... we don't read their newspapers and blogs. (We may not buy 'em, but we read 'em).

From Mike Allen's Sunday post at Politico:
The government of Colombia fired MARK PENN yesterday following Friday's Wall Street Journal story. Politico's Ben Smith had the embassy's statement: "The Colombian Government announces its decision to terminate the contract with Burson-Marsteller. This firm conducts public relations and communications consulting services on behalf of Colombia in the United States for the approval of the Free Trade Agreement and the continuation of Plan Colombia. Mr. Mark Penn, President and CEO of Burson Marsteller, reponded [sic] to claims by Union representatives who questioned his relationship with the Colombian Government by declaring that it was an 'error in judgment' to meet with his client the Colombian Ambassador on March 31. The Colombian government considers this a lack of respect to Colombians, and finds this response unacceptable."
We tend to see the issue like the Columbian above, not like Mrs. Clinton, and/or Mr. Ambinder. But we're not speaking with one arm held behind our back by a big nasty Union, or possessed of a long overdue shiner from the media. (Cue the divorced-from-reality, blood curdling Hillary Laugh).*

*From Charles Babington, AP:
Hillary Clinton told union activists Tuesday she would do everything in her power to defeat the Colombia Free Trade Agreement now before Congress.

Michael Goldfarb of the Blog at The Weekly Standard quotes Sen. Joe Lieberman speaking at the Petraeus Congressional hearing today :
What I’m about to say - with respect to my colleagues who have consistently opposed our presence in Iraq - as I hear the questions and the statements today, it seems to me that there’s a kind of hear no progress in Iraq, see no progress in Iraq, and most of all, speak of no progress in Iraq.
